In order to help with the longevity of your new playhouse roof, you will need to purchase an aluminum drip edge from your local home improvement store. The drip edge will help ensure that water will not seep under the roof shingles (preventing rotting wood), but will instead follow the edge around the rim of the roof and release the water onto the ground. The Drip Edge is not to be confused with the Gingerbread.
